Zomato Gold vs Swiggy One - Which pairs better with CC offers?

Been comparing both subscriptions for the last 3 months and here's my analysis on which one gives better value when combined with credit card offers.

    Membership Costs:
  • Zomato Gold: ₹1,200/year (₹100/month)
  • Swiggy One: ₹899/3 months (₹299/month) or ₹2,999/year (₹249/month average)

Benefits Comparison:

    Zomato Gold:
  • 1+1 on food & 2+2 on drinks at partner restaurants
  • No delivery fee benefits (that's a separate Zomato Pro subscription)
  • Works at 8,000+ restaurants in India
  • Better for dining out
    Swiggy One:
  • Free delivery on orders ₹199+ (Swiggy & Instamart)
  • Flat ₹75-100 off on orders ₹199+ (varies by city)
  • Works for food delivery AND groceries
  • Better for delivery addicts

Credit Card Stacking:

    HDFC Bank Cards:
  • Swiggy: ₹125 off on ₹500+ (monthly benefit on Infinia/DCB)
  • Zomato: 10X rewards on Infinia/DCB through SmartBuy vouchers
  • Winner: Swiggy One + HDFC combo saves ₹125 directly monthly
    ICICI Bank Cards:
  • Swiggy: 10% off up to ₹100 (rotating offer, not always available)
  • Zomato: Dining offers with Sapphiro/Rubyx cards
  • Winner: Neutral, both have intermittent offers
    Axis Bank Cards:
  • Swiggy: Magnus/Reserve have periodic Swiggy offers
  • Zomato: 10X rewards on Zomato through Edge Rewards
  • Winner: Zomato for Magnus holders (better reward rate)

Monthly Savings Calculation (My Usage):

With Swiggy One + HDFC Infinia:
  • 15 orders/month average
  • Delivery fee saved: 15 × ₹50 = ₹750
  • Swiggy One discount: 15 × ₹90 avg = ₹1,350
  • HDFC monthly benefit: ₹125
  • Total monthly value: ₹2,225
  • After subscription cost: ₹2,225 - ₹249 = ₹1,976 net saving
With Zomato Gold + Axis Magnus:
  • 4 restaurant visits/month
  • Gold benefit (1+1): ₹400 × 4 = ₹1,600 saved
  • 10X Edge Rewards on ₹3,000 dining = 300 points = ₹150 value
  • Total monthly value: ₹1,750
  • After subscription cost: ₹1,750 - ₹100 = ₹1,650 net saving

My Verdict: Swiggy One if you order delivery frequently + have HDFC premium cards. Zomato Gold if you dine out regularly + value restaurant discounts. Honestly, I have both because I'm addicted to food

Swiggy One + HDFC Infinia is UNBEATABLE. I save ₹2k+ monthly easily. Plus Instamart free delivery is a game changer for groceries.

Your calculation doesn't account for the fact that Swiggy inflates prices vs Zomato sometimes. Check base menu prices, not just discounts.

Zomato Gold dining benefits are objectively better for social dining. 1+1 at premium restaurants saves way more than delivery discounts. Depends on lifestyle.

4

Zomato Gold restaurant quality > Swiggy partner restaurants. Most good places in Bangalore are on Gold, Swiggy has budget options.

I have both lol. Swiggy One for weekday ordering, Zomato Gold for weekend dates/friend meetups. Total cost ₹349/month justified.

@Regalia holder - It's only for Infinia and Diners Club Black. Premium cards benefit. Regalia gets 10X on SmartBuy but no monthly Swiggy discount.

@Goa question - 2+2 on drinks (including alcohol) and 1+1 on food. But check participating restaurants, not all places honor it during peak hours/weekends.

Cost breakdown is useless without factoring in what you'd spend anyway. I was ordering 10 times/month regardless, so Swiggy One is pure saving. YMMV.

Zomato Pro vs Gold confusion: Pro is for delivery fee waiver (₹300/year), Gold is for restaurant discounts (₹1,200/year). Completely different products.

The best card for Swiggy is actually Axis Ace. 5% cashback, works on Swiggy orders, unlimited. Plus Swiggy One benefits on top. ₹350 back on ₹7k monthly spend.
