The Standard Chartered DigiSmart Credit Card was designed as an entry-level credit card specifically for young professionals and digital-savvy consumers who prefer online shopping and digital transactions. Launched with a focus on providing instant discounts rather than reward points, this card offered straightforward benefits on popular platforms like Myntra, Zomato, Ola, Blinkit (formerly Grofers), Yatra, and INOX.
Important Note: Standard Chartered Bank stopped accepting new applications for the DigiSmart Credit Card from December 15, 2022. However, existing cardholders can continue to enjoy the card's benefits.
The DigiSmart Credit Card is a basic, no-frills credit card that operates on a unique monthly fee model rather than an annual fee structure. Instead of earning reward points, cardholders receive direct discounts and cashback offers when shopping with partner merchants.
Myntra - 20% Discount: Get 20% off on fashion purchases with a maximum discount of ₹700 per month. Valid for 1 transaction per month with no minimum purchase requirement.
Blinkit (Grofers) - 10% Off: Enjoy 10% instant discount on groceries, up to ₹1,000 per month. Valid for 5 transactions monthly. Use promo code DIGISMART.
Zomato - 10% Discount: Get 10% off on food orders with a maximum discount of ₹150 per transaction. Valid for 5 transactions per month. Use promo code DIGISMART.
Yatra Travel Discounts:
Use promo code DIGISMART for all Yatra bookings.
Ola Cabs - 15% Cashback: Receive 15% cashback on Ola rides with a maximum of ₹600 per month. Applicable only on cab rides (excludes bikes, autos, and share rides).
INOX Movies - Buy 1 Get 1: Enjoy complimentary movie tickets at INOX on Saturdays and Sundays. Maximum discount of ₹200 per transaction, valid for 2 transactions per month.
The DigiSmart Credit Card operates on a unique monthly fee model with a spend-based waiver:
This structure encourages regular card usage and rewards active cardholders with fee waivers.
Unlike premium cards, the DigiSmart does not offer welcome bonus points or gifts. The value proposition is in the ongoing partner discounts and the low fee structure.
The Standard Chartered DigiSmart Credit Card does not offer airport lounge access. This is an entry-level card focused on online shopping and digital transaction benefits rather than travel perks.
For airport lounge access, consider Standard Chartered's premium cards like the Ultimate or Priority Visa Infinite.
Unlike traditional credit cards, the DigiSmart does not award reward points on purchases. As stated in the official terms and conditions: "The bank shall not award reward points on the spends made on the card."
Instead of reward points, the card operates on a direct discount and cashback model with specific partner merchants:
The simplified model eliminates complexity:
This makes the DigiSmart ideal for users who prefer straightforward, transparent benefits over traditional reward programs.

Important: Standard Chartered stopped accepting new applications for the DigiSmart Credit Card from December 15, 2022. The information below is for reference only.
Since the DigiSmart is discontinued, consider these Standard Chartered alternatives:
The Standard Chartered DigiSmart Credit Card served as an excellent entry-level option for young, digitally-savvy consumers who frequently shopped on Myntra, ordered food via Zomato, used Ola for commutes, and purchased groceries on Blinkit. Its straightforward discount model eliminated the complexity of reward points, making it easy for first-time credit card users to understand and maximize benefits.
The monthly fee structure (₹49, waivable with ₹5,000 spend) ensured the card remained affordable for students and young professionals. However, the lack of premium features like airport lounge access and the limitation to specific partner merchants meant it wasn't suitable for high spenders or those seeking comprehensive travel benefits.
Current Status: Since December 15, 2022, Standard Chartered has discontinued accepting new applications for the DigiSmart. Existing cardholders can continue using the card. Prospective applicants should consider the Standard Chartered Smart Card or Rewards Card as alternatives.
