The Axis Bank Atlas Credit Card is one of India's best airline-agnostic travel credit cards, offering exceptional value through its 1:2 miles transfer ratio to 20+ partners. With 5% return on travel spends and generous tier-based lounge access, it delivers strong value for travellers spending Rs. 7.5 Lakh or more annually. However, the high 3.5% forex markup and absence of insurance benefits are notable drawbacks for a premium travel card.

Frequent travellers who want airline-agnostic miles with flexible transfer partners and tier-based lounge access.

The Axis Bank Atlas Credit Card is a premium travel credit card designed for frequent travellers who prefer an airline-agnostic miles program. Unlike co-branded cards tied to a single airline, Atlas earns EDGE Miles that can be transferred to 20+ airline and hotel loyalty partners at an attractive 1:2 ratio.
With a joining fee of Rs. 5,000 + GST, the card offers accelerated 5 EDGE Miles per Rs. 100 on travel spends and 2 EDGE Miles per Rs. 100 on all other eligible purchases. The unique tier-based membership system (Silver, Gold, Platinum) unlocks progressively better lounge access and milestone benefits based on annual spending.
The Axis Bank Atlas Credit Card is a Visa Signature travel credit card issued by Axis Bank. It is built around the EDGE Miles loyalty currency, which is separate from Axis Bank's standard EDGE Rewards program. EDGE Miles can be redeemed for flights, hotels, and experiences via the Axis Travel EDGE Portal, or transferred to partner airline and hotel loyalty programs.
Earn 5 EDGE Miles per Rs. 100 on travel spends made via the Axis Travel EDGE Portal, direct airline bookings, and direct hotel bookings. This accelerated earn rate applies up to Rs. 2 Lakh in monthly travel spend. Beyond this threshold, travel spends earn the standard 2 EDGE Miles per Rs. 100.
Transfer EDGE Miles to 20+ airline and hotel loyalty partners at a 1:2 ratio (1 EDGE Mile = 2 Partner Miles). Partners are divided into Group A (cap: 30,000 EDGE Miles/year) and Group B (cap: 1,20,000 EDGE Miles/year). Total annual transfer cap is 1,50,000 EDGE Miles per customer ID.
Group A Partners include Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer, Etihad Guest, Qatar Privilege Club, Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles, United MileagePlus, Air Canada Aeroplan, Ethiopian Airlines, Japan Airlines, Thai Airways, Accor ALL, Marriott Bonvoy, and Wyndham Hotels.
Group B Partners include Air India, SpiceJet, Air France-KLM Flying Blue, Qantas Frequent Flyer, IHG, ITC Hotels, and others.
Atlas offers three membership tiers based on anniversary year spending:
Get up to 25% off (maximum Rs. 800) at partner restaurants via EazyDiner, on a minimum order value of Rs. 2,500. This benefit can be used twice per month per card.
1% fuel surcharge waiver on transactions between Rs. 400 and Rs. 4,000 per transaction, capped at Rs. 400 per statement cycle.
| Tier | Annual Spend Required | Milestone Benefit | Annual/Renewal Benefit |

At the Platinum tier (Rs. 15 Lakh annual spend), you earn a total of 10,000 bonus EDGE Miles through milestones plus 5,000 EDGE Miles as annual benefit on renewal. Note: Spends on gold/jewellery, rent, wallet, government, insurance, fuel, and utilities are excluded from tier evaluation and milestone calculation.

The Axis Atlas Credit Card earns EDGE Miles, a dedicated travel currency separate from Axis Bank's standard EDGE Rewards.

You do not need an existing Axis Bank savings account to apply for this credit card.
The Axis Bank Atlas Credit Card stands as one of India's premier airline-agnostic travel credit cards, offering genuine value to frequent travellers through its flexible EDGE Miles program. The 1:2 transfer ratio to 20+ airline and hotel partners makes it possible to extract 4-10% return on spend, making it competitive with much more expensive super-premium cards.
The card is best suited for travellers spending Rs. 7.5 Lakh or more annually, as this unlocks the Gold tier with enhanced lounge access and renewal benefits. For those spending Rs. 15 Lakh or more, the Platinum tier delivers exceptional value with 18 domestic and 12 international lounge visits plus 10,000+ bonus EDGE Miles.
However, the 3.5% forex markup is a significant drawback for a travel-focused card, and the absence of insurance benefits means travellers need separate coverage. Despite these limitations, the Atlas remains a strong choice for anyone seeking flexible airline miles at an accessible Rs. 5,000 annual fee.
