The card earns 3 reward points for every Rs. 150 spent on most retail transactions, with generous milestone bonuses on annual spending targets.

The HDFC Regalia First Credit Card is a rewards-based credit card issued by HDFC Bank on the Visa network. It sits in the Regalia family of cards, positioned below the HDFC Regalia and HDFC Regalia Gold as the most affordable option with a joining and annual fee of Rs. 1,000 each.

Earn 5,000 bonus Reward Points (worth Rs. 1,500) on annual spending of Rs. 3 lakh, and an additional 2,500 bonus Reward Points (worth Rs. 750) on annual spending of Rs. 6 lakh in each anniversary year. Combined with the welcome and renewal bonuses, total annual milestone value can reach Rs. 2,550.
Enjoy up to 20% savings on restaurant bill payments via Swiggy Dineout at over 20,000 partner restaurants across India through the Good Food Trail program.

The HDFC Regalia First Credit Card remains a solid option for individuals seeking an affordable premium credit card with a well-rounded benefits package. At Rs. 1,000 per year (easily waivable with Rs. 1 lakh annual spend), the card offers decent reward points earning on most spend categories, attractive milestone bonuses worth up to Rs. 2,250 annually, dining discounts, and comprehensive insurance coverage.
The biggest drawback is the discontinuation of airport lounge access since December 2023, which was previously one of the card strongest selling points. The base reward rate of 0.6% is also on the lower side. However, for moderate spenders who value milestone bonuses and insurance coverage more than lounge access, the Regalia First continues to deliver good value for its price point.
